Welcome…
The Old Mill Tea Room is a family run business located in the seaside town of Dawlish, Devon. The Tea Room used to be a working flour mill and the huge waterwheel outside turns daily.
Inside you can view the internal mill workings and read about the history of the mill. The outside seating area is the perfect place to relax and unwind over a coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Our aim is to provide a relaxing atmosphere with a friendly welcome.
Our Food…
All of our food is freshly prepared using local ingredients wherever possible. Our sandwiches are served on locally baked bread, fresh from the bakers each morning, we bake our scones daily as well as many of our homemade cakes.
We serve delicious homemade soups, usually vegetarian and gluten free. Generously filled sandwiches, baguettes and panini are on offer. Specials include locally made quiches as well as our popular Ploughmans lunches.
Cream teas are our speciality; freshly baked scones, lashings of strawberry jam and Devon clotted cream washed down with a tea or coffee of your choice. We also offer a savoury tea; homemade cheese scones and butter with Westcountry Mature Cheddar cheese. We always have a good selection of cakes, flapjacks, slices and biscuits to choose from.
Our Drinks…
The tearoom sells a wide variety of Suki Teas, award-winning fairtrade loose leaf teas, herbal infusions and fruit blends. Our selection of coffees are freshly ground to order and made to your liking. Treat yourself to one of our Van Houten hot chocolates with all the trimmings. We serve a wide variety of cold drinks including Frobishers fruit juices and Luscombe Organic drinks.
