The Old Mill Tea Room is a family run business located in the seaside town of Dawlish, Devon. We serve a wide variety of teas, freshly ground coffees, light lunches, home made cakes and scones, in the unique setting of an old mill building. The Tea Room used to be a working flour mill and the huge waterwheel outside turns daily.

The Old Mill is of much historical interest. Nearly all of the internal machinery and mill stones are still in place and part are viewable from the Tea Room. Many people come to enjoy a cream tea or light lunch and soak up the unique atmosphere either sitting outside by the wheel or inside where you can view the internal mill workings and read about the history of the mill at your leisure.

We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere with a friendly welcome. All of our food is freshly prepared using the finest ingredients possible. Our sandwiches are served on locally baked white or granary bread fresh from the bakers, our scones are baked each morning as is the selection of homemade cakes. Favourites include coffee and walnut, chocolate cake, carrot cake, chocolate brownies and fairy cakes. We make gluten and wheat free cakes too.

We serve delicious ploughmans lunches with local Devon ham and Westcountry cheddar, homemade soup of the day as well as tea room favourites such as toasted teacakes. Cream teas are our speciality with freshly baked scones, lashings of strawberry jam and real Devon clotted cream.
We serve a wide variety of teas, including Bewleys and Twinings, and our selection of freshly ground coffees are from a local Devon supplier. We are pleased to offer a choice of fair trade products.
We hope you will enjoy your visit to The Old Mill Tea Room and look forward to seeing you soon.
